Cardinal Stritch University named a top school for online Master’s in Educational Leadership

top online masters education awards

#4 online program in the nation

On March 7, 2022, OnlineMastersDegrees.org released its annual rankings of Best Online Master’s Programs in Educational Leadership. Cardinal Stritch University is proud to be ranked as the #4 school in the nation for this program. The ranking is especially meaningful as  Stritch celebrates 85 years as one of the best education colleges in Wisconsin.

According to the press release announcing the rankings:

Stritch’s recognition comes at a time when enrollment in master’s degree programs is on the rise. In October 2021, the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) reported a 7.3 percent increase in first-time graduate student enrollment in Fall 2020. First-time, part-time student enrollment rose by 13.5%. The CGS report cites the growth of online and hybrid learning options as a primary driver of these trends.

“Our goal was to find the master’s programs that are making online learning a priority,” said Kyle Darland, co-founder of OnlineMastersDegrees.org. “Each school in our educational leadership ranking offers at least one partially or fully-online master’s degree option, and for a price students can afford.”

The data science team from OnlineMastersDegrees.org applied a proprietary algorithm using data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and from the schools themselves to rank more than 7,700 qualifying educational leadership programs. Data considered in the ranking include number of online master’s programs in subject area, number of online students, program tuition and fees, percentage of students offered institutional aid, and amount of institutional aid awarded per student. Six percent of post-secondary institutions received a ranking.
